{"id":6861,"date":"2025-04-08T11:21:19","date_gmt":"2025-04-08T09:21:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bzl-gmbh.de\/?p=6861"},"modified":"2025-05-27T09:53:16","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T07:53:16","slug":"global-framework-on-chemicals-work-on-the-german-contribution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bzl-gmbh.de\/en\/global-framework-on-chemicals-work-on-the-german-contribution\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Framework on Chemicals: Work on the German contribution"},"content":{"rendered":"<b><strong>April 8, 2025<\/strong>\r\n<\/b>\r\n\r\nFor a few weeks now, BZL GmbH has been working as part of a consortium on a project that will promote sustainable chemistry as part of the global transformation in line with the UN 2030 Agenda. The \u201cRoadmap to 2030\u201d research project (commissioned by the Federal Environment Agency, FKZ: 3724 65 701 0) aims to identify and prepare Germany&#8217;s potential contributions to the implementation of the GFC.\r\n\r\n<strong>Three priorities for the German contribution to the GFC<\/strong>\r\n\r\nIn coordination with the client, we will work with stakeholders from the chemical industry, recycling companies, consumer and environmental organizations to try to reach a consensus that is as broadly supported as possible. It is about\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>the \u201cdefossilization of the chemical industry\u201d, focusing on the opportunities and obstacles for the German chemical industry to switch from fossil to renewable carbon sources,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>a methodological framework to put alternative assessments for substance substitution towards \u201cinherently safe chemicals\u201d on a scientifically broadly accepted basis,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>the use of the Digital Product Passport as an information medium for additives in plastics with a special focus on additives for recyclates, i.e. plastics from the recycling of waste.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nWe are pleased that we are tackling this task together with colleagues who have already been involved in the development of suitable indicators for SAICM and the successor organization GFC: the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cscp.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Center for Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/n-hoch-drei.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">N<sup>3<\/sup> Nachhaltigkeitsberatung Dr. Friege &amp; Partner<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.obladen-akademien.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Akademie Dr. Obladen<\/a>.\r\n\r\nWe will contact numerous experts and also provide information here about specialist conferences that are planned as part of the project.
